Entering salary information for a job

In the job details, you can define a salary range, including the salary base, currency and optional variable remuneration.

Displaying salary information in the advertisement

The salary range entered can optionally be displayed in the advertisement.

Requesting salary expectation in the application form

When creating a job advertisement, under ‘Input mask’, you can specify whether the salary expectation should be requested in the application form and whether this field is mandatory.

If a salary range has been specified for the job, this will be displayed to applicants in the input mask.

Creating your salary expectations in the Dossier

Your salary expectations are automatically displayed in the Dossier once you have submitted your online application. They can also be created or adjusted manually, for example following an interview.

Salary information in the dossier overview

In the dossier overview, the ‘Salary expectation’ column can be displayed. This allows the applicants’ salary expectations to be seen at a glance and compared.

If salary information has been specified for the job, a graphical representation shows whether the salary expectation falls within or outside the defined salary range.

  • Scale: Shows the position of the salary expectation within the pay band. It does not represent a rating or ranking.

  • Arrow: Indicates that the salary expectation lies outside the defined pay band.

  • Missing information: Is displayed neutrally and is not interpreted as a lower salary figure.

If no pay band has been specified for the job, only the salary expectation is displayed as an amount.

Important: All salary expectations for a job must use the same salary basis (e.g. per month or per year) so that the figures are directly comparable. The salary basis is defined centrally in the job information. If this changes, any salary expectations already created are automatically converted.

Setting and changing the salary basis

If no salary has yet been entered in the job details, the salary basis (e.g. per month or per year) is set when configuring the input mask in the job settings or when creating a salary expectation in the dossier for the first time.

The salary basis is automatically transferred to the job details and subsequently applies to all applications for that job.

Subsequent changes to the salary basis can only be made in the job details. Salary expectations that have already been created are automatically converted to ensure that the figures remain comparable.

Adjustments to the salary (salary basis & currency)

If the salary information (salary basis and currency) for the job is changed, the applicants’ salary expectations are automatically converted. This ensures that the details of all applications for the job remain comparable.

Possible adjustments

  • Salary basis (e.g. from annual to monthly salary)

  • Currency (e.g. from EUR to CHF)
