How can I save cover pictures for advertisements as templates?

Find out how to add cover pictures to the templates so that they can be displayed in the digital advertisement.

Requirements

  • Admin rights are required to create or edit new templates.

  • Cover pictures are only available for digital advertisements.

Add cover pictures to the media library

  1. Click on ‘Settings’ in the menu at the top

  2. Under ‘Module recruitment’ → “Templates” → select ‘Media library for advertisements’.

  3. Under ‘Media type’, select ‘Cover picture in advertisement’

  4. Customise the existing template or enter a new one using the button

  5. You can edit the ‘Title’ field by clicking on it.

  6. Under ‘Used in’, you can see which advertisements the cover picture is used for.

  7. By selecting the job types in the ‘Can be used for the following jobs:’ field, the image will only be available for those specific job types.

  8. If required, a separate cover picture can be saved for each language. After selecting the image, a pop-up will appear asking ‘Apply image to all languages?’

Recommended image format

Cover pictures are scaled to the full width of the advertisement. To ensure there is still sufficient space for the advertisement text to be visible alongside the image, we recommend a wide, horizontal format.

Our recommendation for cover pictures:

1200 × 400 px

This format is ideal for digital advertisements and also meets the requirements of Job Search on jobs.ch.

Ensure that important image content is positioned as centrally as possible so that it remains clearly visible on different screen sizes.

Archive / activate cover picture

Cover pictures that are still in use can be archived via the 3-dot button.

For existing jobs, the cover picture will continue to be displayed, but cannot be selected again when the job is re-published.

To activate it, click on the ‘Archived’ button and then on the 3-dot button for the relevant template. Select ‘Activate cover picture’ there

Delete cover picture

You can delete the image or template using the three-dot button, provided it has never been used before.

Convert image to JPEG

Below is a brief guide on how to convert an image to JPEG format.

On Windows:

  1. Open the image using the Photos or Paint app.

  2. Click ‘Save As’.

  3. Select JPEG / JPG as the file type.

  4. Save the file and then upload it to Dualoo.

On Mac:

  1. Open the image using Preview.

  2. Select ‘File’ → ‘Export’ from the menu.

  3. Select JPEG as the format.

  4. Save the file and then upload it to Dualoo.

Online tools:

Alternatively, an image can also be converted to JPEG using an online converter. However, you should not use any confidential or personal images for this.
