PDF / attachments are not displayed

We explain what may be causing you to be unable to view the PDF-attachments and show you the solution.

Problem

The PDFs in Dualoo's attachments are not displayed in the browser but downloaded directly. Often this is not noticed and only a white screen is displayed instead of the PDF that the candidates have uploaded.

Cause

Mostly it is due to a wrong setting in the browser.

Solution

You will find below the instructions for the 3 most commonly used browsers.

Instructions Chrome

Instruction Microsoft Edge

Instructions Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome on your computer

  2. Click on the three-dot menu "Settings" in the top right-hand corner.

  3. Click on "Privacy and security"

  4. Select "Website Settings

  5. Click on "Additional content settings" and then select "PDF documents".

6. Select "Open PDFs in Chrome".

Instructions Microsoft Edge:

  1. open the "Settings" in Microsoft Edge

  2. open "Cookies and site permissions" in the menu

  3. Scroll down to "PDF documents" and set the top button to off.

Instructions Firefox:

  1. open the "Settings" in Firefox

  2. In the menu item "General", scroll down to "Files and applications".

  3. If "Save file" is selected for "Portable Document Format (PDF)", switch to "Open in Firefox".
