How can I add a location or department?

Learn how to add locations and departments.

Requirements

  • Admin rights to adjust "settings"

  • Each employee is assigned to a department. Among other things, the department is responsible for the employee's address.

  • If a company has several locations, each application must be assigned to one location.

Create new department

1. Click on "Settings" at the top of the menu Under the title "Institution" now select "Locations / Departments".

2. Click on the correct location.

3. Fill in the mandatory fields and confirm with "Save".

4. Now switch back to the "Cockpit" and click on "Employees".

5. Click on the employees who work in this department or add new ones (read more here) and select the newly created department under "Department". From now on, the employee in question has the address of the selected department.

Move department between locations

Important: To move a department, at least two must be present.

1. Click on "Settings" at the top of the menu. Under the title "Institution" now select "Locations / Departments".

2. Select the three items for the department in question.

3. Click on "Move" and select the new location in the next window

Add a new location

1. Click on "Settings" at the top of the menu Under the title "Institution" now select "Locations / Departments".

2. Click now on

3. Fill in the mandatory fields and confirm with "Save". A department will be created automatically.

4. You can add more departments if you wish. See instructions above "Create new department".

5. Now switch back to the "Cockpit" and click on "Employees".

6. Click on the employees who work in this department or add new ones (here) and select the newly created department under "Departments". From now on, the employee in question has the address of the selected department.
