In order to generate individualized correspondence with data from Dualoo, placeholders are needed that tell our application where the data should be inserted (analogous to serial letters in Word). Please note that only placeholders that are stored in Dualoo can be used.

There are two types of placeholders - text and images.
There are placeholders that can be used for any template and placeholders that can only be used for one type of step (e.g. only rejection letters). The title indicates where the placeholders can be used.

Text as placeholder - For all step types
Below you will find an overview of all placeholders.
Tip: Copy the placeholder directly from this article or paste them into the desired templates using the corresponding button in Dualoo. This helps to avoid spelling mistakes.
Note multilingualism
Certain placeholders are language-specific and can therefore only be used in the corresponding language. For example, if the date including the month is to be displayed, the corresponding placeholder must be selected in each language. Example: DATUM HEUTE for German / DATUM_HEUTE_FR for French / DATUM_HEUTE_EN for English). Whereas many placeholders such as B_VORNAME remain the same in all languages.
Note on gender-neutral salutation
Applicants and employees / users in Dualoo have three options when choosing the form of address (female, male, non-binary). People who specify their form of address as "non-binary" are addressed in a gender-neutral manner.
In English, there is a clearly defined standard and Mx is used instead of Mrs/Mr for the neutral form of address. This form of address has also become established in French, even if there is still no official definition. In German, there is still no definition and it is recommended not to use gender-specific forms of address. We use the neutral form of address Mx in all languages so that the form of address can be used sensibly in all languages with the Dualoo placeholders. As soon as there are official definitions in German and French in the future, we will be happy to adapt this accordingly. We endeavour to use inclusive and non-discriminatory language.

Depending on which image is pasted into the template, Dualoo will convert the result of the rating to the respective number of stars. You can also choose whether the stars start at 0 or 1. This is especially relevant when using the note scale (1-6).
